TAMEKO expands its approach to the bed through a new partnership with UNWONTED, introducing the Polish brand's alpaca duvets alongside TAMEKO's growing bed linen collection.
Rather than creating something new for the sake of a collaboration, TAMEKO and UNWONTED bring together what each already does well. UNWONTED's alpaca duvets become part of TAMEKO's bed assortment, complementing its bed linen with a natural layer of warmth.
// A NATURAL FIBRE MADE FOR SLEEP
At the heart of the partnership is alpaca, a natural fibre whose properties suit the sleeping environment. UNWONTED's alpaca duvet is filled with 100% Polish alpaca fibre sourced from farms across Poland, hand-sorted and finished in mercerised cotton.
Alpaca fibre provides excellent insulation. Its structure helps retain warmth when it is needed while allowing excess heat and moisture to escape, which keeps the sleeping environment balanced through the night. This matters during sleep, when body temperature naturally changes. The fibre also manages moisture, helping the bed stay dry and comfortable.
It is a material that combines performance with the qualities both brands value in natural fibres: softness, breathability, longevity and comfort.

Central to UNWONTED's approach is the use of an existing and often underutilised natural resource. Alpacas are sheared regularly, yet much of the fleece produced by Polish farms has historically had limited commercial use. UNWONTED transforms this fibre into long-lasting bedding rather than allowing a valuable natural material to go to waste. This resonates with TAMEKO's belief in creating fewer, better products from carefully considered materials.
// From Summer Nights to an ongoing partnership
The collaboration follows the brands' first presentation together during 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen in June 2026. TAMEKO bed linen and UNWONTED alpaca duvets appeared in Summer Nights, an exhibition curated by 3daysofdesign, in an experimental setting conceived by Tom Sheppard. Shown together, the products revealed a natural compatibility between the two brands, in look, in material and in their approach to creating products for everyday life. The response encouraged them to develop the relationship into an ongoing partnership.

There is also a personal connection. Both founders are based in Copenhagen and originally from Poland, and with the fibre sourced from farms across Poland, the collaboration carries a subtle link to where they come from.
